Please read this disclaimer carefully. It summarizes how Hullio operates as a peer-to-peer marketplace and clarifies responsibilities for Owners and Renters.
Marketplace Role
- Hullio is a peer-to-peer boat rental platform. Hullio does not own, operate, captain, crew, maintain, inspect, or certify any vessels listed on the platform.
- All boats are owned and operated by independent third parties ("Owners"). Renters are responsible for complying with all applicable laws, licensing, and safety requirements.
Insurance & Deposits
- Hullio is not an insurer and does not provide insurance advice. Any insurance offered at checkout is underwritten and administered solely by third-party insurance partners. Coverage availability, terms, and decisions are determined by the insurer.
- Security Holds are temporary card authorizations processed by Stripe. They are not charges and may be used to settle fuel charges when fuel is excluded.
- If a Security Hold is no longer valid, Hullio may attempt to collect fuel charges using the renter's saved payment method. Hullio attempts collection but does not guarantee recovery in every case.
Dispute Handling
- Hullio's role is limited to providing the platform, facilitating communications, and administering the evidence-based deposit claim process as described in the Terms of Service.
- Hullio does not act as a legal arbitrator or determine legal liability. Users remain responsible for their conduct, compliance with maritime and local regulations, and the accuracy of their listings and representations.
